Artist Statement

About Elisabet's Art

I am a Bachelor of Culture and Arts in Fine Arts, having graduated from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences in 2023. I am inspired by personal experiences, observations of my dreams, nature, mythology, art history and cultures around the world.

I work mainly with two dimensional-surfaces using oil colors, pencils and other drawing and painting mediums.

My art has been described as feeling melancholy, though there are some elements of surprise and humor hidden in the mystical and symbolic themes. My art is in a constant state of evolution and for this reason I like to keep my senses and mind open for its changes. At the present themes and colors such as sense of lightness, light, symbolism, nature, mystical creatures, dreamy atmospheres, greens, yellows, blues and pinks are what interest me in my art and observations of the world.
